Ododo hosts Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, seeks stronger diplomatic partnerships for Kogi

Kogi State Governor, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo has played host to the newly appointed Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaye, describing him as a seasoned diplomat whose wealth of experience will strengthen Nigeria’s global engagement and drive national development.
Ododo made these known on Monday in Abuja during a courtesy visit by the Minister.
Speaking during the meeting, Ambassador Enikanolaye stated that the visit was an opportunity to align with the Governor’s developmental blueprint for Kogi State.
He expressed his readiness to leverage his office to facilitate strategic international partnerships and attract foreign direct investments to accelerate the state’s socio-economic growth.
“I have come to formally align with Your Excellency’s vision for Kogi State and to assure you of my readiness to work with your administration in building strategic partnerships.”
“Kogi possesses immense potential, and I am fully committed to projecting these opportunities to the international community,” Enikanolaye said.
The Minister commended Governor Ododo’s inclusive leadership style, his humility, and his sustained efforts in securing lives and property across the state.
He praised the administration’s progress in critical sectors, promising his unwavering support to ensure the continuous delivery of democratic dividends to the people.
In his response, Governor Ododo noted that the government and people of Kogi State are immensely proud of Ambassador Enikanolaye’s appointment, calling it a well-deserved recognition of a distinguished career in Nigeria’s Foreign Service.
The Governor added that the Minister’s conduct since assuming office reflects the patriotism and character expected of an accomplished indigene of Kogi State.
“We are proud of your appointment because it is well deserved. Your extensive background in diplomacy has prepared you for this vital national responsibility. You continue to demonstrate the qualities of a true ambassador of our state and nation,” Governor Ododo remarked.
The Governor also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to collaborating closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to explore international economic opportunities and investment promotions.
He also extended his gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Enikanolaye, expressing full confidence that the Minister will justify the trust reposed in him through dedicated service.
