The 36 State Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have resolved to adopt and replicate Lagos State’s governance and development strategies in their respective states.

This commitment followed a comprehensive two-day working tour of landmark infrastructure and economic projects across the state, which concluded with a courtesy visit to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House, Marina.

The initiative, organized by the Lagos State chapter of the APC under the leadership of Barr. Cornelius Ojelabi, was designed to expose national party leaders to the socio-economic milestones achieved by successive progressive administrations.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the party chairmen expressed immense admiration for the scale of urban transformation in Lagos.

They described the state as Nigeria’s premier model for effective governance, attributing its success to sustained policy consistency, long-term strategic planning, and visionary leadership.

According to the delegation, the tour provided invaluable, firsthand insights into how deliberate investments in infrastructure can catalyze economic growth and elevate the living standards of citizens.

The Chairmen pledged to return to their respective states and actively encourage the adoption of ideas inspired by the infrastructure, transportation network, investment drive, and urban renewal projects they witnessed.

During their intensive itinerary, the party leaders visited several iconic projects driving the state’s economic growth.

The delegation toured the industrial hubs within the Lekki Free Zone and inspected the massive economic network surrounding the Dangote Refinery corridor.

They also experienced the state’s strides in modern, multi-modal urban transportation firsthand by riding the Lagos Rail Mass Transit Blue Line.

Beyond these infrastructure inspections, the two-day programme included high-level interactions with local party leaders and a traditional courtesy call on the Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty Oba Rilwan Akiolu.

Welcoming the delegation at the finale event, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu attributed the state’s achievements to a deep-seated culture of continuity, noting that many of the modern marvels the chairmen visited were the fruits of blueprints laid down years ago.

Sanwo-Olu reiterated his administration’s unwavering focus on expanding economic opportunities, enhancing resident welfare through targeted funding, and building robust transportation systems.

The Governor also used the platform to urge the party leadership to maintain a united front, charging them to remain steadfast in driving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda across all tiers of government to accelerate development nationwide.
