2026 poll: Don’t sell your PVCs, Osun APC guber candidate urges electorate

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has urged the electorate to come out in large numbers to vote for him in the August 15th governorship election in the state.

Oyebamiji made the appeal on Sunday during a special meeting and prayer session held in his honour at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria.

He stated, “My ambition is clear, and I am prepared to take the bull by the horns in transforming our common heritage, our dear state.”

He promised to run an all-inclusive, participatory, and masses-oriented government if elected governor.

Oyebamiji, who was accompanied by his wife, Alhaja (Dr.) Sekinah Bola-Oyebamiji, urged religious leaders to commit the forthcoming gubernatorial election into the hands of God for a peaceful conduct through fervent prayers and supplications.

According to him, “We will run an all-inclusive, participatory, and masses-oriented government. We will prioritize all sectors of the economy.”

“I can assure everyone here that we will most sincerely prioritize the security and welfare of the people, particularly the welfare and general well-being of everyone, especially civil servants.”

“We will run a transparent and accountable government. Our education, health, infrastructure, agriculture, commerce and industry, power and energy, as well as the justice system, will experience a drastic change when I am elected governor.”

“I appreciate our people for the show of love and support. This means a lot to us. I will continue to seek your collective and individual support. Please, let’s remain constant in our prayers for a peaceful poll.”

“Please, let’s begin spreading the gospel of AMBO to every nook and cranny of the state. Our PVC is our power. Don’t sell it. Use it to vote APC; use it to vote Oyebamiji. Insha-Allah, I will not disappoint you,” Oyebamiji reassured.

Earlier, the leadership and members of the Osun State Chapter of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS) declared their support for the APC candidate and assured him of victory in the upcoming August 15th, 2026, gubernatorial election.

Speaking on behalf of the leadership, Alhaji Akande Ola Hafiz attributed their decision to Oyebamiji’s verifiable Islamic status, outstanding virtues, and track record as a true Muslim and bona fide member of the Ansar-Ud-Deen.

He said: “We are gathered here today to interface with one of our very own, the flag-bearer of the APC in the forthcoming Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15th, 2026.”

“For the information of those who may not know, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) was born, bred, and nurtured within the family of the Ansar-Ud-Deen, Ikire branch. He is here today as a bona fide member who has every right to partake in the activities of the society and to seek the blessings of his household, and what binds us together is our shared faith in Islam.”

“As members of the same household, we are immensely happy and proud to have one of our own vying for this exalted position.”

“This is indeed a historic milestone and another plus for us in the history of our society in Osun State.”

“There is no doubting the fact that Asiwaju Oyebamiji is known to us as a complete gentleman, a peace-loving man, and a leader of profound humility, discipline, and selfless service,” he said.
