2027: Tinubu, APC will struggle to retain power — Primate Ayodele

The Spiritual Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will face a severe battle to retain power at the center ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The cleric gave the prophecy during a world press conference at his Lagos headquarters on Saturday, coinciding with the official launch of the 32nd edition of his annual prophecy book, Warnings To The Nations.
According to Primate Ayodele, the APC will find itself heavily extended as it seeks to sustain its grip on the federal government.
He emphasized that President Tinubu’s reelection victory is far from guaranteed unless decisive and strategic administrative interventions are executed swiftly.
“The Northern parts of the country will be angry with Tinubu. The ruling party will be struggling to sustain their federal seat at the center. I foresee that the Tinubu victory is not yet certain except Tinubu takes a bold step. A lot of people will rise up against him,” he said.
The popular prophet further predicted major shakeups within the executive and legislative arms of government, foreseeing the eventual emergence of a new Vice President, a new Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), a new Senate President, and fresh cabinet ministers.
He added that the President may resort to last-minute structural changes, including replacing the nation’s Service Chiefs, as political pressure mounts.
Primate Ayodele also raised concerns over institutional integrity, alleging that significant subterranean maneuvers are already underway to compromise the integrity of the next general elections.
He claimed that the ruling party is exerting intense pressure on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to influence its operational guidelines.
