Former Anambra State governor, Senator Chris Ngige, has denied granting permission for his photograph to appear on the campaign poster of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the November 8 election.

In a statement by his Special Assistant, Hyggy Obialo, Ngige said he is currently on a break from active partisan politics after 25 years in public service. He stressed that neither his consent nor approval was sought before the poster, which also featured the APC candidate and his running mate, was produced and circulated online.

The statement urged those behind the publication to respect Ngige’s decision to step away from politics, reiterating that he had made his stance clear on several occasions.
