Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, undertook an inspection tour of medical and educational facilities in Bida town and promised to continue to provide more dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

Bago, who had been in Bida, his home town, from Friday till Sunday last week, also held an APC stakeholders meeting to fine-tune the way forward in preparation for the 2027 general election.

The Governor, during his three-day stay in Bida, visited the Gbangbara Level Two Primary Health Care Centre in Bida, one of the 20 healthcare facilities recently inaugurated.

While at the various health centres, the governor interacted with patients and medical personnel to be abreast of their predicaments.

According to him, he will continue to give priority to the health sector to ensure that Nigerlites get the best medical services in the state.

During the period, Bago was also at Man Musa Kodogi area, Nasarafu Ward, Bida, to inspect a gully erosion site that has been posing danger to residents.

He directed that a drainage system should be constructed in the area, reminding the residents that to achieve that, some houses would be affected.

The governor also attended the graduation ceremony of Malama Habiba Nnabantigi College of Arts and Islamic Studies along Lemu Road, where he reaffirmed his continued support for education and called on the students of the institution to be upright and be good ambassadors of the state anywhere they go, and later inspected the farm and greenhouses close to Bida.
