Ife East Council presents N3.9bn 2026 budget proposal

The Acting Chairman of Ife East Area Council, Hon. Adekunle Adewumi, has presented a N3.9 billion budget proposal for the 2026 fiscal year to the Legislative House.
The budget, titled ‘Fulfilled Renewed Hope’, aims to drive sustainable development, enhance service delivery, and address socio-economic needs in the area.
Presenting the budget at the Council Secretariat in Oke D.O. Modakeke on Wednesday, Adewumi highlighted key focus areas, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and administrative reforms.
He said that the budget aligns with the Renewed Hope vision of inclusive governance, fiscal responsibility, and grassroots transformation.
Adewumi noted that priority areas include infrastructure development, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and improved administrative efficiency.
Speaking, the Leader of the House, Hon. Adekunle Adeyeye, pledged legislative support, praising the executive’s timely submission of the budget.
He assured that the proposal will receive due consideration, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts in driving progress in Ife East Area Council.
The event drew a strong turnout, with members of the Executive and Legislative arms of government in attendance.
Party leaders, led by Chief Wahab Adetunji Bolarinwa, showed support, underscoring a shared commitment to advancing the council’s development agenda.
