Ahead of the August 15, 2026, governorship election in Osun State, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, as the party intensifies preparations for the high-stakes contest.

Oyebamiji disclosed the President’s endorsement following a strategic meeting in Abuja, which he described as a significant boost to his campaign’s resolve to foster internal party unity and drive sustainable development across the state.

The APC flagbearer was accompanied to the Villa by the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and former Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola.

In a statement shared via his official X handle, Oyebamiji expressed deep appreciation for President Tinubu’s leadership and commitment to progressive governance.

He noted that the engagement reinforced his determination to provide purposeful leadership anchored on economic renewal and people-centered policies, citing the President’s national prosperity vision as a primary framework for his local agenda.

Beyond the presidential endorsement, Oyebamiji pledged to prioritize the consolidation of party unity and deepen grassroots engagement.

He emphasized that his campaign would present a clear, actionable blueprint designed to reposition Osun for long-term economic stability and shared prosperity.

Characterizing the upcoming election as a call to service, the candidate assured party members and residents alike that his administration would focus on inclusive governance.

He expressed confidence that a collective effort within the APC would successfully deliver the Osun of their shared aspirations, bolstered by the President’s belief in his capacity to uphold the principles of responsible leadership.
