President Bola Tinubu has congratulated former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on the occasion of his 76th birthday, describing him as a trusted ally and seasoned public servant.

In a statement released on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President praised Ganduje’s decades-long contribution to public service and party politics, noting that his career spans more than fifty years.

Tinubu recalled Ganduje’s early years in public administration, including his service as a senior official in the Federal Capital Territory, before returning to Kano State where he served as Commissioner for Works during the military era.

The President further highlighted Ganduje’s political journey, noting that he went on to serve two terms as deputy governor and later completed two consecutive terms as governor of Kano State. He is currently the chairman of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

“I will always cherish Ganduje’s friendship and the close working relationship we shared at different periods, as well as his invaluable contributions to the APC,” Tinubu said.

The President also offered prayers for the former party chairman, asking Almighty Allah to grant him good health and long life in order to continue serving the nation and humanity.
