The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, personally welcomed dozens of defectors from the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and other parties into the APC during a ceremony held on Monday in Katsina.
Prof. Goshwe described the mass defection as a clear reflection of growing confidence in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dikko Umaru Radda.
During the event, the entire Katsina State chapter of the APC passed a unanimous resolution endorsing President Tinubu for a second term in 2027 and Governor Radda for re-election.
Party leaders and members praised both the President and the Governor for their commitment to transparency, accountability, and people-centred governance, noting that Governor Radda’s open-door policy has been instrumental in restoring public trust and encouraging citizen participation.
In his remarks, Governor Dikko Radda expressed gratitude for the endorsement, describing it as a strong vote of confidence in the APC’s leadership at both state and national levels.
The event underscores the APC’s growing influence in Katsina, as well as its efforts to consolidate support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
