The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced that online registration for its Post-UTME screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session will begin on Monday, July 28.

According to a statement signed by Mrs. Abosede Wickliffe, Registrar One and Secretary to Council, and published on the institution’s website, the registration window will remain open until August 20.

Eligible candidates must have selected UNILAG as their first choice in the 2025/2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), and scored 200 and above. Applicants must also possess at least five credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in a single sitting.

The university stated that only candidates who upload their O’Level results on or before September 12 will be considered for admission. Additionally, applicants must be at least 16 years old by September 30 to be eligible.

Participation in the Post-UTME online aptitude test is mandatory, and candidates are advised to use personal and active email addresses for communication.

The statement also clarified that former students whose admissions were previously withdrawn due to academic failure or prolonged absence may reapply, provided they select a new course different from their previous programme. However, students previously expelled are not eligible for re-admission.

UNILAG reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on drug abuse and warned that any student who tests positive for drugs whether before or after registration risks losing their admission.

A mock examination for the Post-UTME online aptitude test will be conducted from August 25 to August 27, ahead of the main screening scheduled for September 1 to September 5
