Former Minister of Special Duties and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, has officially submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest for the position of National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The submission took place on Monday at the National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) Secretariat, Legacy House, Shehu Shagari Way, Maitama, Abuja. Turaki was accompanied by close political allies and associates.
It was gathered that Turaki has been adopted as the consensus candidate by a majority of PDP stakeholders ahead of the party’s Elective National Convention scheduled to hold in Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 15 and 16, 2025.
Meanwhile, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alhaji Sule Lamido, who is also vying for the chairmanship seat, visited the PDP headquarters earlier in the day to obtain his nomination forms but reportedly met no officials on duty.
