President Bola Tinubu will on Tuesday honour 210 former members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for their exceptional performance during their service years between 2020 and 2023.
The recognition will take place at the Presidential NYSC Honours Award ceremony scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
NYSC’s Director of Media, Emeka Mgbemena, made this known in a statement on Saturday, noting that 200 of the awardees distinguished themselves in all four key NYSC programmes—Orientation Course, Primary Assignment, Community Development Service, and Passing-Out activities.
Additionally, 10 ex-corps members who suffered permanent disabilities while serving the nation will be honoured under the NYSC Hope Alive Initiative.
The ceremony will be attended by the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande; NYSC Director-General, Brig.-Gen. Olakunle Nafiu; and members of the NYSC management team.
According to the NYSC, the awards aim to celebrate dedication, patriotism, and resilience among Nigeria’s youth.
