Former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido has advised party stakeholders to accept the current caretaker structure, even if it is aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

During a Ramadan Iftar in Bamaina, Lamido described Wike as a shrewd strategist who stepped in to fill a leadership vacuum after the National Working Committee’s (NWC) tenure expired.

While acknowledging the deep-seated grievances many party members hold against the Minister, Lamido argued that pragmatism must trump personal animosity to ensure the party’s survival.

He emphasized that the spirit of PDP sisterhood and the broader interest of Nigeria necessitate an inclusive reconciliation process.

Lamido’s intervention comes at a critical time as the party seeks to stabilize its internal governance and present a united front ahead of future electoral cycles.
