Timi of Ede denies withdrawing support for Governor Adeleke

The palace of the Timi of Ede has officially dismissed social media allegations claiming that the monarch has withdrawn his support for the political ambitions of Governor Ademola Adeleke, the Asiwaju of Edeland.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Dapo Akinyele, the Director of Information and Protocol at Aafin Timi Agbale, described the claims as false and a deliberate attempt by mischief-makers to cause disaffection within the community.
Akinyele specifically addressed a video released by an anonymous individual accusing the royal father of double standards, labeling the footage misleading and the handiwork of disgruntled elements.
According to the statement, the rumors are a figment of imagination concocted by agents of fake news intent on disrupting the peaceful atmosphere currently prevailing in Ede.
The Timi-in-Council clarified that the purported withdrawal of support for the incumbent Governor of Osun State is completely unfounded and lacks any basis in reality.
Akinyele further emphasized the deep-rooted relationship between the palace and the Adeleke dynasty, noting that the traditional institution has enjoyed tremendous support from the family since the monarch ascended the throne in 2008.
He highlighted that this partnership began during the era of the late Asiwaju of Edeland, Alhaji Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, and has continued to flourish.
The palace spokesperson noted that the incumbent governor and his siblings have remained a consistent blessing to the Ede Traditional Council.
The palace further urged politicians across all affiliations to shun propaganda that could heat up the polity, calling instead for a spirit of oneness to advance the peace and development of Edeland.
