The Permanent Secretary of the State House, Mr. Temitope Peter Fashedemi, has congratulated five outstanding staff members of the State House for excelling in the ongoing Service-wide Digital Skills Literacy Training Programme organised by the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF).
Receiving the staff in his office, Fashedemi praised their commitment to personal growth and professionalism, describing their performance as a reflection of the State House’s dedication to innovation and excellence in public service.
In a statement signed by Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information and Public Relations, State House, the Permanent Secretary said: “I am proud of you because you have distinguished yourselves in this critical training initiative. Your achievement underscores our readiness to embrace digital transformation and aligns perfectly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes efficiency and technological advancement in governance.”
Fashedemi also commended the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Didi Esther Wilson-Jack, for introducing the Digital Skills Literacy Programme, describing it as a timely and strategic intervention toward building a modern, tech-savvy civil service.
The nationwide training, which began on September 10, 2025, is a flagship initiative under Pillar Five (Digitalisation and Enterprise Content Management) of the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP25). It aligns with the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS 2020–2030) and the Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to achieve 70% digital literacy among Nigerians by 2027.
The five State House staff who excelled in the first stage, Wassa Isa Francis, Ubong John Akpan, Abdulrahman Iliya, Oluwasegun Samuel, and Ahmed Musa received HP laptop computers personally presented by Dr. Wilson-Jack.
Other top-performing ministries in the first month of the programme included the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction and the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs.
