The 10th National Assembly has nominated Hon. Festus Adefiranye for the prestigious Award of Excellence 2025, as Outstanding Lawmaker in Constituency Project Delivery.
Adefiranye, from Ondo State, is representing Ileoluji/Okeigbo/Odigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Party (APC)
A statement by Adebayo Lawrence, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the lawmaker, said the award ceremony would take place on Oct. 29, at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.
In the statement, made available to newsmen on Thursday in Abuja, Lawrence said, the recognition is a testament to Adefiranye’s dedication, performance, and unwavering commitment to delivering quality representation’.
Quoting the awards committee, he said: “The honour is in recognition of Hon. Adefiranye’s hard work, consistency, and visible achievements in driving grassroots development.
“This milestone, not only celebrates Hon. Adefiranye’s’ accomplishments, but also serves as an inspiration to his constituents, reinforcing the belief that true governance is anchored on service, accountability, and dedication to the people.
“In just two years, Hon. Adefiranye has championed people-focused initiatives and projects that have transformed lives across Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo Federal Constituency.
“From infrastructure to education, health care, youth empowerment, and social development, his efforts reflect a deep passion for service and measurable impact on the community”.
Adefiranye is the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Christian Pilgrimage Affairs, and member of other committees.
Reacting to his nomination, the lawmaker thanked the National Assembly for finding him worthy and assured continuos quality representation.
He added that the awards would motivate him to do more for his constituency, Ondo state and the nation at large.
Adefiranye, a Telecommunication Engineer, was born in Okeigbo, Ondo State.
He is also a former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly where he contested and won to represent the Ileoluji/Okeigbo State Constituency under the ruling APC.
He was Chairman, House Committee on Human Capital Development, Public Accounts and Deputy Chief Whip of the Ondo State House of Assembly between 2019 and 2023.
