The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has told members opposed to the leadership of former Senate President, Senator David Mark, to seek redress in court instead of raising internal disputes.
The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Bolaji Abdullahi, gave the warning on Thursday while speaking on Politics Today, a political programme aired on Channels Television.
Abdullahi was reacting to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) recognition of Senator Mark and former Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, as the party’s National Chairman and National Secretary.
He admitted that the delay in INEC’s confirmation had caused unease among members but insisted that the development had now empowered the ADC leadership to formally register new members across the country.
“The ADC is not in any leadership tussle with anyone. Whoever is against Senator David Mark’s leadership of the party should seek redress in the court of law,” Abdullahi said.
The spokesman stressed that the ADC under its new leadership was focused on building a stronger structure ahead of future elections.
