Northern Christians hold prayer session for Remi Tinubu at 65

The Christians Northern Nigeria Political Forum (CNNPF) has organized a prayer session for the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Remi Tinubu, as she marked her 65th birthday anniversary today (Sunday). They praised her as an inspiration to women and a strong pillar of support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The session, which was hosted at the Ecumenical Centre, Abuja, witnessed several dignitaries and men of God who prayed for good health and prosperity for the First Lady.
Coincidentally, as Nigeria joined the rest of the world to commemorate World Peace Day, the pastors prayed for God’s intervention in restoring peace in the country.
Led by the National President of CNNPF, Comrade Muhammad Barau Garba, the forum said the First Lady has been a bridge uniting Nigerians, especially both Christians and Muslims in the North.
He emphasized that the Bible has made us understand that we should always keep praying for leaders to lead in a God-fearing manner.
Arch. Prof. Emmanuel Jatau, one of the board members of the forum who led the prayer session, stressed that Remi Tinubu is a passionate and kindhearted leader who has dedicated her life to selfless service to the nation in different capacities, both in private and public service, touching lives.
He used the occasion to urge Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayers at all times, encouraging them to contribute to the country’s speedy development under President Ahmed Tinubu’s era.
According to him, the gathering was solely a prayer session in commemoration of the First Lady’s birthday, not for political reasons.
“Therefore, let us continue to pray for our leaders, no matter their shortcomings, so that they can be strong and focused to lead the people aright,” he said.
He appealed to Christians in the North to embrace politics as a tool for bringing development to people at the grassroots.
On his part, the Patron of the forum, Comrade Noah Emmanuel, appreciated the First Lady for her continuous support to the organization.
He said, “Her Excellency has been supporting the organization with donations of vehicles, thousands of bags of rice to be shared across the 19 states in the North, and financing for our activities.”
Comrade Noah called on Nigerians to support President Tinubu’s government by alerting the security architecture whenever they get information on security threats in any part of the country.
