Three unidentified armed men attacked a home in Lagos on Sunday, June 1st, 2025, around 5:00 PM. The incident occurred at No. 10, Monshalasi Street, Obalende, Lagos State.
The victim, Oyeleke Nelson Tobi, was at home with his wife’s cousin, Janet Arhore, and a visiting child. His wife was away at church for an evening programme when the incident happened.
According to reports, the attackers broke into the house and immediately started assaulting Mr. Tobi. They hit Janet’s head against the wall, leaving her injured. Mr. Tobi was shot in the leg and lost consciousness . He later woke up in the hospital.
Sadly, the young child who was visiting was badly hurt during the attack and died before getting to the hospital.
The attackers escaped before help could arrive. The reason for the attack is still unknown, and police have begun investigations to find those responsible.
