Residents of the Eruku community have raised serious concerns over the continued disappearance of a family following a recent deadly attack on a Christ Apostolic Church in the area.

The incident, which occurred in Eruku within the Ekiti Local Government Council of the state, was reportedly carried out by suspected bandits and is believed to have targeted worshippers due to religious differences.

The attack resulted in multiple fatalities, throwing the entire community into mourning.

In the aftermath, the church and members of the Eruku community conducted a mass burial for the victims.

However, one specific case has generated widespread alarm.

According to community sources, the late Mrs. Mojisola Alade was among those killed and subsequently buried.

However, no member of her immediate family was present at the burial, and no contact has been established with any of her relatives since the tragic event.

Community members stated that the prolonged silence and absence of the deceased’s family have heightened fears regarding their safety and whereabouts.

A concerned resident, Shola Daniel, who is among those calling for urgent intervention, appealed to the public and the media to help locate the missing family members.

He identified them as Mrs. Alade’s children, Alade Damilola Titilayo and Alade Abimbola, as well as her granddaughter, Sobande Adekemi.

“We are deeply troubled,” Daniel said. “Since the attack, nobody has come forward to claim or inquire about the deceased. It is unusual and worrisome. We are appealing to the public to assist in locating her children and grand-daughter.”
