The Kaduna State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has unveiled a comprehensive campaign structure ahead of the August 16, 2025 bye-elections in Basawa, Zaria Kewaye, and Chikun/Kajuru State and Federal Constituencies.
State Publicity Secretary Hon. Maria Dogo confirmed on Thursday that the structure was approved by the State Working Committee on July 22 after an extensive review.
She explained that the team is mandated to oversee campaign activities, mobilise party members, and engage with key stakeholders across the affected constituencies to secure a strong showing at the polls.
Dogo noted that the inauguration date for the campaign council will be announced shortly, adding that the PDP has confidence in the experience and capacity of the team to deliver on its electoral mandate.
“The PDP is assured that with the calibre of individuals appointed, victory in the forthcoming bye-elections is within reach,” she said.
The bye-elections follow the declaration of vacancies by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the three constituencies.
Basawa and Zaria Kewaye State Constituencies, together with the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, are considered strategic electoral battlegrounds, with intense competition anticipated among major political parties.
Reaffirming its commitment to strengthening its foothold in the state legislature and the National Assembly, the PDP pledged to pursue an issue-driven campaign that resonates with the needs and aspirations of the electorate.
