Chelsea: He has won everything – Emmanuel Petit names perfect manager to replace Lampard

Published

Arsenal legend, Emmanuel Petit has identified Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti as the perfect manager to replace Frank Lampard at Chelsea.

Petit said Ancelotti, who coached Chelsea in the past, won everything in the game.

Chelsea is still searching for a permanent manager that will replace Lampard, who is currently the caretaker coach until the end of the season.

The likes of Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann have been linked with the job.

Ancelotti recently ruled out the possibility of returning to the Premier League.

But despite Ancelotti’s comments, Petit said he would still love to see the Italian return to the west London club.

“There are so many managers linked with Chelsea. Every day you open the newspapers, then you hear it on the radio and the television that there are five or six different managers in the frame,” Petit told DAZN.

“I would love to see Carlo Ancelotti apply for the Chelsea job, but he said last week that he won’t come back to England, he won’t come back to Chelsea. Maybe he is a bit tired. He has won everything. Maybe he is very close to retirement, I have no idea.”

Massimiliano Allegri has been dismissed by Juventus just two days after steering the team to victory in the Italian Cup.

Recall that the Turin club triumphed over Atalanta 1-0 in Rome, with Dusan Vlahovic securing an early goal.

However, Allegri’s behaviour marred the celebrations as he was ejected for ranting at match officials and dismissing the sporting director.

The Italian Football Federation’s disciplinary tribunal has since opened an investigation into Allegri’s conduct.

On Friday, Juventus officially announced Allegri’s departure in a statement via their website.

“Juventus announces that it has relieved Massimiliano Allegri of his position as head coach of the men’s first team,” Juventus’ statement partly read.

“The club wishes Massimiliano Allegri good luck in his future endeavours.”
