Bandits invade Katsina community, abduct scores

…Two residents shot as attackers raid homes at night
Armed bandits launched an overnight assault on Lambo community in Kurfi Local Government Area of Katsina State, leaving two people injured and abducting an unconfirmed number of men, women and children.
Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers arrived in large numbers late Monday night, firing indiscriminately to create panic and forcing residents to scatter into nearby bushes for safety.
The assailants allegedly moved from house to house, seizing victims and spreading terror throughout the village.
A security analyst, known as Bakatsine, corroborated the incident in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating: “Yesterday night, bandits attacked Lambo community in Kurfi LGA, Katsina State. They injured two people and abducted several people including men, women, and children during the attack.”
As of the time of reporting, the Katsina State Police Command had not released an official statement on the attack.
