Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has slammed the Tinubu administration and the Nigerian Senate following the approval of a $6 billion loan request.
Atiku described the legislative process, which saw the multi-billion dollar credit facility approved in less than four hours, as an act of fiscal irresponsibility.
He expressed concern over the lack of rigorous oversight and the potential long-term implications for the nation’s debt profile.
The former Vice President urged the federal government to prioritize transparency and sustainable economic management over continuous borrowing.
