Akwa-Ibom Gov’t takes delivery of third Airbus

The Akwa Ibom State government has taken delivery of its third brand-new Airbus A220-300 series aircraft acquired for the state-owned airline, Ibom Air.
The Governor, Pastor Umo Eno had recently visited Airbus in Canada to inspect the aircraft, which touched down at the Victor Attah International Airport today.
The new aircraft is the third Airbus aircraft and the fifth aircraft acquired by the Umo Eno-led administration for Ibom Air.
Present at the reception were the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, accompanied by some members of the National Assembly; the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Akon Eyakenyi; the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Udeme Otong; Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah; and other stakeholders in the State.
The latest addition is expected to further strengthen Ibom Air’s fleet and enhance its operations and connectivity.
