Woman sues neighbour over defamation of character

A woman, Aisha Salisu, dragged her neighbour, Firdausi Muhammad before a Shari’a Court sitting in Magajin Gari Kaduna, for defamation of character.

“I want her to tell the court why she calls my mother and I prostitutes,” she said.

Muhammad denied the allegation.

The Judge, Malam Mu’awiyah Shehu, asked the complainant to produce   witnesses that can testify that Muhammad defamed her.

He adjourned the case until Sept.  22, for the complainant to to present her witness.
