We will not relent in our efforts to strengthen security in Lagos — Sanwo-Olu

Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has assured Lagosians and visitors that the government will continue to strengthen security.

The Governor made this known during a meeting with Security Chiefs at the Lagos House, Marina on Tuesday for a briefing on all security activities and plans to strengthen the system ahead of the end-of -year activities.

Speaking, the Governor pledged that he will not relent in his efforts to ensure that criminals don’t find a place for their evil activities in the state.

Present at the meeting included Lagos Police Commissioner Tijani Fatai, Brig. Gen. A.O. Owolabi, Commander, 9 Brigade, Ikeja, Commodore A. Adams-Aliu, NNS Beecroft Commander, Nigerian Navy, Air Commodore M.A. Imam , Commander 651 BSG , Ikeja and Dr Ayodele Ogunsan, Executive Secretary, Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LASTF).

Also present was the Chief of Staff to the Governor Tayo Ayinde, Secretary to the State Government Abimbola Hundeyin and Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General Lawal Pedro.

Lagos will host President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR as from today. Several activities are being lined up for the Yuletide when an influx of visitors is expected. Besides, various religious and cultural activities. Also, political activities are picking up, following the announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that campaigns can begin.
