The All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial consensu candidate in Nasarawa State, Senator Aliyu Wadada has appealed to former Governor Tanko Al-Makura for his suppprt towards his governorship ambition.
Wadada paid a visit to Al-Makura just hours after the former Governor publicly criticized the process that led to Wadada’s emergence as the preferred successor.
Earlier, Al-Makura had expressed dissatisfaction with Governor Sule, accusing him of failing to consult key stakeholders before endorsing Wadada and presenting him prematurely to the President.
During the reconciliatory visit, Wadada praised Al-Makura’s leadership and made an impassioned plea for unity, acknowledging the former governor’s foundational role in the state’s development.
Wadada emphasized the collective responsibility of leaders to protect the citizens of Nasarawa, noting that Al-Makura carries a significant portion of that weight as a founding father of the state.
While Al-Makura appeared to take some of Wadada’s appeals in good spirits, the political tension remains high as other aspirants continue to challenge the endorsement.
