United States President, Donald Trump has renewed his vow to destroy Iran’s critical infrastructure if a diplomatic resolution is not reached soon.
In a post on Truth Social on Sunday, Trump declared a “no more Mr. nice guy” approach, threatening to target every power plant and bridge in the country.
This escalation comes as a two-week ceasefire between the U.S., Israel, and Iran is set to expire in three days.
Despite the tension, Trump confirmed he is sending a delegation to Pakistan on Monday for negotiations, expressing hope that Iranian leadership will accept what he described as a fair and reasonable deal.
Groundwork for these talks has been ongoing since an inconclusive session in Islamabad on April 11. However, the window for a peaceful resolution is closing rapidly, with the U.S. President making it clear that the alternative to a deal will be a devastating military campaign against Iran’s industrial and energy sectors.
