A Jos Magistrates’ Court on Friday sentenced a 22-year-old trader, Mustapha Musa to one year imprisonment for threatening to kill his colleague in prison for threatening to kill his colleague.
The convict pleaded guilty to criminal intimidation and threat to life.
The Magistrate, Mrs Irene Pati sentenced Musa with an option of N70,000 fine.
While reviewing the facts, the Prosecution Counsel, Ijuptil Thiawur told the court that the case was reported in Aug. 28, at the “C” Division police station by Charibu Sani, the complainant.
Thiawur said the convict went to the complainant’s shop and threatened to kill him after an argument.
He said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 275 of the Plateau Penal Code Law.
