Spain brush aside France to book World Cup final spot

Spain are through to the 2026 FIFA World Cup final after a composed 2-0 victory over France in the semi-finals.

Mikel Oyarzabal broke the deadlock before Pedro Porro added the second to seal the win and send La Roja into Sunday’s final.

Rodri was widely praised for controlling the midfield from start to finish and was deservedly named Man of the Match after another commanding performance.

Spain’s disciplined display left the French with little room to operate as they secured a place in the final where they will face defending champions Argentina.
