Zenith Bank Plc has released its financial statements for the period ended June 30, 2026, recording a profit before tax of ₦637.6 billion, alongside an attractive interim dividend proposal for its shareholders.
According to the interim report submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX), the Group’s profit before tax rose by 2% to stand at ₦637.6 billion, compared to ₦625.6 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2025. Gross earnings for the period were reported at ₦1.89 trillion (₦1,899,944 million).
The report further showed that profit after tax for the half-year stood at ₦430.7 billion, with profit attributable to equity holders of the parent coming in at ₦430.29 billion, translating to basic and diluted earnings per share of ₦10.48.
Demonstrating strong returns to investors, the Board of Directors proposed an interim dividend of ₦1.50 per share, an increase from the ₦1.25 interim dividend paid out in the previous year.
The dividend payment is however subject to the statutory withholding tax rate of 10% for qualified recipients and will be presented for ratification by shareholders at the next Annual General Meeting.
