Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is set to convene a high-level stakeholders’ meeting on Monday, June 23, with leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and candidates contesting the forthcoming July 12 Local Government Elections.

The development was announced in a statement issued on Sunday by the Lagos APC Publicity Secretary, Mr Seye Oladejo, who described the gathering as a vital platform for strategic mobilisation ahead of the polls.

According to Oladejo, the meeting will take place at noon at the State House, Marina, and will bring together party leaders, elected and appointed officials, as well as all APC chairmanship and councillorship candidates.

“The meeting will serve as a rallying point for galvanising our support base as we prepare for the local government elections,” Oladejo noted.

He expressed confidence that the APC’s track record in local governance would resonate with voters across the state.

“Our councils have delivered meaningful results in areas such as education, primary healthcare, housing, and social welfare. We believe these achievements will translate into a resounding mandate at the ballot box,” he stated.

The party had earlier presented flags to its 57 chairmanship and 376 councillorship candidates during a formal campaign flag-off held at the APC State Secretariat in Ogba.
