Lagos State will open its doors to the public on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, for its annual Ministerial Press Briefings at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa. Over the course of the event, ministries, departments, and agencies will present comprehensive reports on their performance during the past year.

The 40-day event is being organised by the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy and is part of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration’s ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and citizen involvement.

A statement released on Monday by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, explained that the briefings aim to strengthen democratic governance by offering residents an opportunity to directly evaluate the impact of government policies and programmes on their lives.

“Lagosians are encouraged to actively participate and stay informed as each member of the State Executive Council presents a detailed account of their agency’s achievements,” Omotoso said.

He also pointed out that the sessions would draw attention to key projects, influential initiatives, and measurable outcomes realised under the THEMES+ development agenda of the Sanwo-Olu administration.

“It is time to present the government’s scorecard,” the commissioner asserted. “The Sanwo-Olu administration has made significant progress, and Lagosians will be proud of their Governor.”

The series of briefings will culminate in a statewide address by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on May 29, 2025. In this address, the Governor is expected to offer a comprehensive review of his administration’s accomplishments and provide a roadmap for the future direction of the government.

Omotoso urged residents to engage through both traditional and digital platforms, reiterating the government’s commitment to placing Lagosians at the core of its development plans.

The THEMES+ Agenda, an acronym for Traffic Management and Transportation, Health and Environment, Education and Technology, Making Lagos a 21st Century Economy, Entertainment and Tourism, Security and Governance, plus Inclusion, remains the foundation of the Sanwo-Olu administration’s policy focus.
