The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has issued a stern warning to party members found engaging in anti-party activities, threatening immediate sanctions against those attempting to sabotage the party’s unity and 2027 election objectives.

In a statement released on Wednesday in Ibadan by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Mr Olawale Sadare, the Oyo APC leadership condemned recent public remarks by two unnamed chieftains of the party who allegedly praised the Seyi Makinde-led PDP administration, a gesture the APC says signals disloyalty.

“No reasonable member of the APC would turn himself into a propaganda tool for the PDP government which has mortgaged the future of unborn generations,” Sadare stated.

He described the actions as reprehensible and irresponsible, especially coming from individuals who still identify as APC leaders, warning that the party will no longer condone internal sabotage.

The Publicity Secretary noted that despite efforts by the Olayide Abas-led state executive to pursue reconciliation and unity, certain individuals continue to promote PDP interests, undermining the APC’s goals.

“We have done our due diligence and confirmed that some of these so-called APC members worked for the PDP without any justifiable cause,” the statement read.

He added that while the party intends to engage the accused democratically to clarify their motives, it will not hesitate to take disciplinary action if necessary.

The APC reiterated its focus on Project 2027, aimed at delivering Oyo State to the APC in the next general election, and urged all party loyalists to align with this agenda.

“Anyone attempting to derail our progress will be treated as an enemy of the state,” Sadare warned.

The party leadership called for discipline, unity, and unwavering commitment from all members ahead of what it described as a decisive political battle in 2027.
