Osundecides: Protect your mandate, Oyebamiji urges voters

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has called on party supporters and residents to remain peaceful, vigilant, and resolute as the collation of results gets underway across the state.

Addressing supporters and voters following the conclusion of voting in the Osun State governorship election, Oyebamiji commended residents for turning out to exercise their franchise while praising security agencies and election officials for their conduct.

“We have come a very long way, and today, I am deeply encouraged that our collective efforts are yielding results. I sincerely thank the good people of Osun State for coming out in large numbers to exercise their civic responsibility and make their voices heard through the ballot,” Oyebamiji said.

“I also commend the security agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for their commitment to their duties and for conducting themeselves with professionalism and integrity,” he added.

Speaking to party loyalists across the 30 local government areas, the APC candidate cautioned against any attempts to disrupt the electoral process during the ongoing collation exercise.

“As the collation of results begins, I urge all our supporters and the good people of Osun to remain calm, vigilant and resolute. Let us protect the sanctity of the votes cast by our people. Do not allow anyone, under any guise or through any means, to subvert the will of the people or undermine the mandate they have freely chosen to give us in today’s election,” he warned.

“We have come too far to allow our collective efforts to be compromised. Let us remain peaceful, watchful and confident as we await the final outcome. May the will of the people prevail,” Oyebamiji concluded.
