In an effort to mitigate economic hardship during the concurrent periods of Ramadan and Lent, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Osun State have distributed 1,600 bags of rice to various community groups.
The distribution exercise, held at the Tinubu-Shettima campaign office in Osogbo, targeted religious organizations, labor unions, student bodies, and various ethnic associations.
The Osun State Coordinator Hon. Sunday Akere noted that the initiative was designed to ensure that indigent residents could observe their religious festivities without the burden of rising food costs.
Akere emphasized that the gesture reflects President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to supporting the less privileged during significant spiritual seasons.
The beneficiaries included the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Muslim communities, and representatives from the Hausa, Igbo, and Igala ethnic groups residing within the state.
