Osun releases first batch of teacher recruitment list, appointments start monday

The Osun State Government has officially released the names of the first batch of successful candidates for immediate recruitment into the state’s public primary and secondary schools.

According to a press statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, successful applicants are to collect their formal letters of appointment beginning on Monday, March 9, 2026.

The government has directed candidates to verify their status online or by visiting designated offices in the state capital, Osogbo, including the Osun State Civil Service Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), and the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) headquarters.

Governor Ademola Adeleke, while congratulating the newly shortlisted teachers, urged them to view their employment as a commitment to public service.

He called on them to perform their duties diligently and conscientiously, emphasizing their role in driving the growth and development of the education sector across the state.

The Governor also expressed his appreciation to the applicants for their patience and continued support during the recruitment process, which is part of the administration’s broader effort to reposition and improve the standard of education in Osun State.
