Osun guber: Renewed Hope Ambassadors hold walk to victory in Osogbo

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Osun State on Wednesday staged a “Walk to Victory” rally in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.

The group, in their hundreds, converged at the popular Aiyetoro area in Osogbo and marched through Igbona Market, Old Garage, MDS, Olaiya, and Ogo-Oluwa, terminating the “Walk to Victory” at the Tinubu-Shettima Campaign Office in Osogbo.

Speaking during the rally, the Osun State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Mr. Sunday Akere, said the mobilization was organized to express the group’s readiness, support, and commitment to Oyebamiji’s victory.

Akere noted that the group was also using the rally to sensitize residents to the need for political change in the state.

He expressed confidence that voters would support the APC candidate at the polls, stating that the group has a structure of more than 95,000 members across the state.

He described the turnout for the rally as evidence of growing support for the APC candidate, adding that the people of Osun are yearning for a governor who will focus on development and service delivery.

Akere also emphasized that the group is not relying on the influence of the Federal Government to win the election.

According to him, “Our coming out today is to show our support and commitment toward the victory of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, the candidate of the APC, on Saturday.”

“What we have here today is the Renewed Hope Ambassadors structure in Osun, mobilizing support and telling the people of Osun that it is time for change.”

“Come Saturday, August 15, the people of Osun will vote en masse for the APC and for our candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, who, by the grace of God, will become the next governor,” he said.

Also speaking, the Director of Security of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Osun, Amos Adekunle Victor, called for a peaceful and violence-free election.

“We just want it to be a violence-free and peaceful election. Everybody should come out and vote. Security will be provided for everyone who needs to come and vote.”

“Rest assured that it’s going to be peaceful. Security will be there, the votes will be counted, and the votes will count,” he said.

Meanwhile, Adebowale Azeem said the large turnout demonstrated that the group is not depending on federal might to secure victory for Oyebamiji.

“You can see the turnout. If we were banking on federal might, you would not see this kind of turnout. Numerous people are here working to ensure victory in the election on Saturday,” he said.
