Former Osun State Governor and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has called on residents of the state to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, in the forthcoming governorship election.

Oyetola made the call while speaking with party leaders, stakeholders and supporters in Inisa, Odo-Otin Local Government Area, as part of engagements ahead of Saturday’s election.

He expressed concern over the condition of roads across Osun State, saying government resources should translate into visible development in communities.

According to him, the poor state of many roads remained a major concern, particularly considering the federal allocations received by the state in the last three years.

“I expressed my deep concern over the poor condition of roads across Osun State, despite the substantial federal allocations accruing to the state over the past three years,” Oyetola said.

He stressed that residents should be able to see the impact of government resources through improved infrastructure and public services.

Oyetola also called for equitable development across the state, noting that government attention should not be restricted to selected areas.

“Development must not be concentrated in one locality. Every part of Osun deserves good roads, quality education, accessible primary healthcare and other essential public services,” he said.

The former governor expressed confidence in Oyebamiji’s ability to provide what he described as responsible and balanced leadership if elected governor.

He said the APC candidate would ensure that state resources were properly managed and distributed for the benefit of residents across the state.

“This is why I am confident that our candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), will usher in a government that will judiciously deploy the state’s resources and ensure balanced development across all parts of Osun,” Oyetola stated.

He further urged APC supporters to remain united and peaceful as the election approaches, while encouraging voters to participate actively in the electoral process.

Oyetola said, “Let us come out in large numbers, exercise our civic responsibility and protect our votes.”

He also acknowledged the support of prominent political leaders and stakeholders in Odo-Otin, including former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun.

According to him, the reception received in Inisa demonstrated growing support for the APC candidate and strengthened his belief that Osun residents were seeking a new direction.

“The enthusiasm and warm reception we received in Inisa reaffirm my belief that the people of Osun are ready for a new direction,” he said.

Oyetola urged party members to remain focused and work together, expressing optimism that their efforts would result in victory for Oyebamiji and the APC.
