Osun 2026: Adeleke campaign predicts landslide victory by 200,000 votes

The Adeleke Campaign Organisation (ACO) has expressed supreme confidence ahead of the August 15 governorship election, predicting that Governor Ademola Adeleke will secure a second term with a decisive margin of over 200,000 votes.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the organization asserted that the political landscape of Osun State has shifted dramatically in favor of the Governor and his new political platform, the Accord Party.
The ACO claimed that former strongholds of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have now become Accord territories, reflecting a surging approval rating for the incumbent across the state’s nine federal constituencies.
The campaign group took a swipe at the APC and its Campaign Director General, Hon. Wole Oke, accusing them of being out of touch with current political realities.
The ACO dismissed Oke’s recent assertions that the APC would reclaim the state because the Governor won by only 28,000 votes in 2022.
The organization countered that the rxit of a few black sheep from the Governor’s camp has been more than compensated for by mass defections from the APC to the Accord Party.
“The Governor’s winning team remains tactically and strategically intact. It is now bolstered by an army of stakeholders, grassroots groups, labor movements, and activists. Today, more than 90 percent of the voting segments that decide Osun elections are firmly with Governor Adeleke,” the statement read.
The ACO further mocked the Osun APC for failing to unveil a concrete manifesto, contrasting this with Governor Adeleke’s people-based five-point agenda, which has been widely disseminated in multiple languages alongside a compendium of his administration’s achievements since 2022.
The group highlighted that critical voting blocs across Ijeshaland, Igbominaland, Ifeland, Osogbo, and even Ikire, the hometown of the APC candidate are bracing to re-elect the Governor.
They specifically noted that even Boripe Local Government, the home base of former Governor Gboyega Oyetola, is now firmly yellow, the signature color of the Accord Party.
Addressing concerns over electoral security, the ACO revealed that underground electoral protection groups have emerged across the state to safeguard the will of the people from election bandits.
The organization concluded by commending President Bola Tinubu for his commitment to a level playing field.
They expressed gratitude to the President for resisting pressure to interfere with the Osun polls, describing him as a father of all who has ensured that the upcoming election will be free and fair.
