A 35 year old man, Bolaji Oluwasetire, is currently under police watch at the General Hospital, Ore, after allegedly
Molesting a six year old girl and attempting suicide by drinking poison.
The Ondo State Police Command confirmed that the suspect was caught around 9:45 p.m. on October 1, 2025, in the Osoro area of Ore, while forcing the victim to touch his private parts.
The girl’s father, Kolawole Joseph, alerted the Ore Police Division, leading to Oluwasetire’s arrest by detectives from the Gender Desk Office.
Police spokespersons said the suspect confessed to taking a harmful substance while in custody and started vomiting before he was rushed to hospital.
Confirming the incident, Commissioner of Police Adebowale Lawal condemned the act, describing it as “shameful and criminal,” and assured that the suspect will be prosecuted after recovery.
