Olokola Deep Sea Port: Dangote engages host community

Dangote Industries Limited has continued preparations for the proposed Olokola Deep Sea Port and Industrial City project with an engagement with the Aheri Kingdom in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The company’s delegation, led by the Managing Director, Infrastructure and Logistics, Captain Jamil Abubakar, met with the traditional ruler of Aheri Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Ilesanmi Ikuemonisan-Mafo.

According to Dangote Industries, the visit was part of efforts to build a good relationship with the host community as work continues on plans for the project.

The company said discussions focused on working together with the community and ensuring its support as preparations for the project move forward.

Dangote Industries said the proposed Olokola Deep Sea Port and Industrial City project is expected to improve Nigeria’s transport and logistics system, encourage more investment, support trade and create jobs.

The company added that the project is expected to support Nigeria’s industrial growth when completed.
