I will appoint AI as finance minister, drone for defence — Omoyele Sowore

Human rights activist and Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, declared on Friday that a future AAC administration will embrace technology-driven governance by appointing Artificial Intelligence as Minister of Finance and deploying a drone as Minister of Defence.

Outlining a radical vision for restructuring Nigeria’s governance architecture, Sowore argued that traditional political patronage must give way to technological efficiency, transparency, and accountability.

Explaining the rationale behind the unconventional governance strategy, Sowore stated that leveraging automated systems in public finance would eliminate systemic leakages and administrative abuse.

“Sowore2027 will appoint Artificial Intelligence as ‘Minister of Finance’ and a ‘Drone’ as Minister of Defence,” Sowore said. 

“The AI will eliminate human manipulation, waste, and corruption in public finance by making data-driven, transparent decisions,” he added. 

Addressing national security challenges, the AAC leader noted that replacing traditional bureaucratic structures with technology would modernize defense operations across the country.

“The Drone will redefine national security with modern surveillance, rapid response, precision, and accountability.”

“The future of governance is technology, not patronage,” he concluded.
