Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru has publicly denounced recent media reports suggesting a crisis within the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Describing the circulating narratives as baseless and entirely unfounded, Basiru in a statement on Tuesday clarified that he remains the sole candidate from the state for the position of National Secretary.

eacting to publications that alleged disputes over party leadership roles, Basiru clarified that there is no internal strife regarding his political trajectory.

According to the APC Scribe, the purported divisions are merely the handiwork of unscrupulous elements desperate to mislead the general public and distort the true political climate within the state’s party structure.

He characterized the circulating counter-narratives as deliberate distractions engineered to derail the progress, unity, and stability that the party currently enjoys, noting that such claims do not reflect the reality on the ground or the collective will of the party’s membership.

Basiru further emphasized that he retains the unwavering backing of the entire APC apparatus in Osun State.

He noted that the state chapter stands solidly behind his candidacy, expressing confidence that their collective efforts will continue to bring pride to the party through a foundation of competence, strict discipline, and proven leadership capabilities.

Basiru further reassured party loyalists and supporters across the state urging party faithful to completely disregard the fabricated claims and remain steadfast in their commitment to the APC’s core objectives.

Reaffirming the party’s focus, the National Secretary maintained that the Osun APC remains fully united and dedicated to strengthening its political structures at all levels as they move forward together toward greater success.
