No community will be left behind — Otti assures Abians

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has assured residents that his administration remains committed to extending developmental projects and welfare programs to every corner of the state, urging citizens not to lose hope in areas awaiting state interventions.

Governor Otti gave the assurance on Saturday at Amaku Nvosi in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area during the traditional wedding ceremony between Oluomachi Faith Nwaobia, daughter of the Archbishop of Aba Ngwa Province (Anglican Communion), Most Rev. Isaac Nwaobia, and Chinemerem Jude Emeanaa.

Speaking, the governor emphasized that the progress witnessed across Abia since his assumption of office is only the beginning of a broader transformation agenda, acknowledging that certain communities have yet to be reached.

He explained that his administration, having served for three years and a few months, is still actively executing its development blueprint.

“This is just the beginning. This state must be transformed, and the dignity of our people will be fully restored. We are in the process and not quite there yet, having completed just three years and a few months. By the time we complete eight years, the goal is to be succeeded by someone even better, because whoever comes after me must raise the bar,” Governor Otti stated.

He noted that sustaining the administration’s focused interventions over a full eight-year tenure will fundamentally alter the state’s socio-economic landscape, reinforcing public confidence in Abia’s future.

Congratulating the newly wedded couple, Governor Otti advised them to navigate disagreements with mutual understanding, patience, and unwavering commitment.

He also commended Archbishop Nwaobia for his steadfast support over the years, describing the cleric as a principled leader whose prayers and encouragement contributed significantly to the administration’s political journey and current governance milestones.

In his remarks, Archbishop Nwaobia thanked the governor for attending the ceremony, recalling their initial meeting in 2012 at the opening of Diamond Bank’s Owerrinta branch.

Impressed by Otti’s long-term vision for Abia State, the archbishop expressed gratitude that those plans are now being translated into impactful policies and prayed for continued wisdom and strength for the governor.
