…Receives Yeye Asiwaju title at Ooni’s 10th anniversary

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has told Nigerians to expect what she called a significant economic transformation by 2026, making Nigeria a lender nation.

She made the remark during her conferment as Yeye Asiwaju of Oodua Land by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, at an event held at Enuwa Square, Ile Ife, on Sunday as part of activities marking the monarch’s tenth anniversary on the throne.

Addressing the gathering, Tinubu said the country is entering a phase of renewed hope and prosperity, adding that the moment represents a fresh chapter of confidence for citizens.

She voiced strong belief that Nigeria’s economic outlook will shift considerably under the current administration, noting that she expects a future in which other nations approach Nigeria for financial support.

“Today is not a day for long speeches. I want to thank the people of Ile Ife and I also thank the Ooni of Ile Ife for bestowing such an honour. Nigeria’s joy has come. Those wondering how we intend to achieve this will see how things are done.

“By 2026, Nigeria will be in prosperity. Other countries will come and borrow money from us. It is important to say it here at the source of the Yoruba cradle today that during this present administration led by President Bola Tinubu, they will wonder how he was able to achieve such a milestone,” she said.
