President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ending insecurity across the country, declaring that he “will not relent” until every Nigerian is safe.

In a statement issued after the successful rescue of dozens of kidnap victims in Kwara and Niger States, the President said he cancelled his planned trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to personally coordinate security operations at home.

Tinubu confirmed that all 38 abducted worshippers of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Eruku, in Kwara State, had regained their freedom following what he described as days of “intense collaboration” among security agencies and government authorities.

The President also announced the recovery of 51 students abducted from a Catholic school in Niger State, assuring Nigerians that search operations remain active to locate others still missing.

Tinubu said: “I am closely monitoring the security situation nationwide and receiving continuous updates from the frontline.

“Let me be clear: I will not relent. Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety — and under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people.”

He praised the efforts of the military, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force, and other intelligence units involved in the rescue missions, adding that government remains fully committed to dismantling criminal networks responsible for attacks and abductions.

The President’s comment comes amid rising concerns over insecurity in several parts of the country, including recent attacks in Kebbi, Niger, and Kwara States.

Tinubu assured citizens that security operations would be sustained and intensified “until every community can live without fear.”
