NewsDirect Correspondent bags Osun NUJ Best Education Reporter of The Year award

Nigerian NewsDirect Correspondent in Osun State, Ismail Azeez, has won a prestigious award from the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Osun council.

Azeez emerged winner of the 2025 NUJ Best Education Reporter of the Year, sponsored by Osun State Polytechnic.

While receiving the award yesterday from Chairman of the Osun State University Teaching Hospital Board, Barrister Niyi Owolade in recognition of his outstanding contributions to education reporting in Osun State.

Owolade urged Azeez to view the recognition as a challenge to do more for the development of Osun State.

According to him, “I want to congratulate you on this recognition and see this as a challenge to do more to promote education in Osun State."
